Thewatersite have provided many dental surgeries with a reliable cost efficient source of Reverse Osmosis Water. The quality of water needed for your autoclave will depend on the type of autoclave you are using. The RO-1 with either a 50 or 100g per day unit along with a DI stage will provide a complete pure water solution. If you are looking for advice give us a call on 01507 524576. We keep all reverse osmosis water filters in stock for immediate delivery.

The maintenance costs of a reverse osmosis unit will vary dependent upon the quality of your input water. If you have very hard water you will need to change your Reverse Osmosis Membrane more often than if you were in a soft water area. Pre-Filters need changing every 6 months to prevent bacterial growth and to ensure that the level of chlorine is reduced prior to the entry to the Reverse Osmosis Membrane.

If a DI stage is needed this is fitted post RO Filter, mostly this stage is fitted in the form of a refillable unit that can be filled with a colour change resin. This ensures that staff can keep a check that when the colour of the resin in the DI Filter  stage changes from green coloured to a yellow straw colour it is time to change the Ion Exchange India Colour Change DI Resin. The DI resin sourced from Ion Exchange India provides an innovative solution to monitoring the State of your DI stage.

Other equipment we do consider to be essential is a TDS Meter, this measures the electrical conductivity of water and will allow you to check the quality of your output water. To be clear it wont tell you when to change your prefilters, (they must be changed at least every six months) but it will warn you of the gradual deterioration of the reverse osmosis membrane.

An inline TDS meter is available, but due to the normal hidden way location of your RO Water Filter we do suggest that a simple hand held TDS or conductivity Meter is much easier to use and staff are more likely to check the  water quality.

We strongly recommend that the reverse osmosis water filter is used in conjunction with a secondary resin polishing stage. The resin stage containing a mixture of strong Anion & Cation Resins will remove the remaining dissolved impurities from the reverse osmosis water too. The use of a strong anion resin in conjunction with a reverse osmosis system will ensure that silica compounds are reduced to extremely low levels lower than PPB (parts per billion) To ensure the best quality DI water we suggest changing the resin stage when the water TDs reading in over 1
